Springfield Armory Announces New Echelon Pro Models

The Echelon® Pro builds on the proven foundation of the Echelon® platform with a performance-focused collection of features.

‍

Built around the same robust Central Operating Group® and Variable Interface System®, the Echelon® Pro pairs a LightForged™ frame featuring aggressive Badlands texture with an integrally compensated slide assembly finished in Springfield Grey Cerakote®.

‍

‍

A flared magwell, metal guide rod and tritium front sight with an orange luminescent ring further define this configuration, while three extended magazines come standard.

‍

Available in 4.0C, 4.0FC and 4.5F configurations, the Echelon® Pro brings a distinctive combination of features to the modularity and adaptability that define the Echelon® series.

‍

THE COMMON CORE

‍The Echelon® Pro is built around the same Central Operating Group® (COG®) found throughout the Echelon® family. Precision-manufactured from stainless steel, this serialized chassis is easily removable and can be transferred between compatible grip modules and slide assemblies, leveraging the enhanced modularity of the Echelon® series.

‍

DIRECT BY DESIGN

‍Concealed beneath the metal slide cover plate is the Variable Interface System®. This patent-pending design allows users to mount a wide variety of optics directly to the slide without the use of adapter plates. Simply configure the self-locking pins for the footprint of your desired optic to achieve a low, direct mount for improved sight picture and intuitive alignment.

‍

LIGHT FORGED

‍LightForged™ Grip Texture uses precision lasers to sculpt and reform the surface of the grip module, creating a highly defined texture reminiscent of custom stippling with greater consistency and control. The process allows precise shaping of texture geometry and placement across the grip for a refined, repeatable surface with excellent traction and a premium feel. The Echelon® Pro debuts this technology with the Badlands pattern, an aggressive cracked-earth texture engineered for confident grip and control.

‍

POSITIVE PURCHASE

‍The forged slide on the Echelon® Pro combines purposeful engagement surfaces with a protective Cerakote® finish for wear and corrosion resistance. A trench cut forward of the action provides a natural index point, while the flared rear of the slide and forward slide serrations offer confident purchase from multiple angles.

‍

Hammer Forged Barrel

‍
Hammer forging produces a stronger, smoother bore for improved accuracy and service life, while the Melonite® finish adds corrosion and wear resistance.

‍

Ambidextrous

‍The Echelon® Pro is equipped with an ambidextrous slide stop and magazine release for intuitive use.

‍

Integral Compensator

‍An integral compensator that redirects gas upward to reduce muzzle rise and improve control for faster, more accurate follow-up shots.

‍

Stainless Steel Guide Rod‍

A stainless steel guide rod adds forward mass and rigidity, helping reduce muzzle flip and enhance recoil management.

‍

Badlands Texture

‍Applied using LightForged™ technology, the Badlands grip texture delivers the aggressive look and tactile feel of custom hand stippling.

‍

Magwell

‍The removable magwell is constructed of machined steel and adds a flared opening for smoother, more consistent reloads.

‍

3 MAGS INCLUDED

‍Finished in a durable, scratch and wear-resistant black coating, the Echelon® Pro ships with three magazines offering capacities of 20+1 in the 4.5F and 4.0FC models and 18+1 in the 4.0C. The removable magwell also gives shooters the flexibility to configure the pistol for use with flush-fitting magazines.

‍

BEYOND STANDARD‍

The Echelon® Pro is designed and tested beyond SAAMI drop test parameters, meeting the more demanding standards Springfield Armory® sets for itself. Within the Central Operating Group®, a unique secondary sear provides an additional measure of protection against unintentional discharge if the firearm is dropped.

‍

FORWARD FOCUS‍

The Echelon® Pro combines a tritium front sight with an orange luminescent ring and a serrated black rear sight to create a deliberate front-focused sight picture. Paired with direct-mount optics support, the Pro is equipped for a wide range of sighting preferences.
